Eastern Tiger Swallowtail
Swallowtails get their name from the two long "tails" they have. This is the ventral (underside) of a female.
Eastern Tiger Swallowtail
This is the dorsal (top) side of the female. Females have the blue pattern near the tails.
Eastern Tiger Swallowtail
The dorsal side of the male. Note that it lacks the blue pattern of the female.
Dark variation - Eastern Tiger Swallowtail
This female is an example of the dark version of the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail. Note you can still see the "tiger" stripes.
